Southwest Outdoors Club members are invited to a trap shoot at the Gosfield North Sportsmen Club on Sunday, June 26.

Their address is 94 County Road East, Cottam.

Time: 12 noon. Cost: $5.00.

Southwest Outdoors Club Volunteers of the Year

At the SWOC March 10, 2020 general meeting, Don and Joyce Wigle were recognized as our 2019 Volunteers of the Year. Together, Don and Joyce put in hundreds of volunteer hours at the Clubs' annual events - Big Buck Sportsmen Show, Kids Fishing Derby and Big Boyz Fishing Tournament. President Dan Reive is shown presenting a plaque and cheque as a token of our appreciation.

SWOC ATV Tickets are AVAILABLE at Comber Home Hardware and Hudson Motorcycle in Tilbury. SWOC members will be selling tickets outside Leamington Canadian Tire on Saturdays & Sundays (weather permitting). The draw will be held as planned at 3 pm on Saturday April 18th. The location of the draw will be LIVE on Facebook. The winner does not have to be present and will be contacted.

Kids Fishing Derby Huge Success

SWOC Kids Derby Best Ever Day! Kids’ Fishing Derby Report Trophy for largest fish 0-3 yrs. Noah Lamb - sheepshead 23 5/8 inches 4-7 yrs. T`ea Poisson - sheepshead 20 1/4 inches 8-12 yrs. Jaxon Lamb - carp 24 1/8 inches 13-17 yrs. Brendon Clements - sheepshead 17 3/4 inches Bicycle draw winners 0-3 yr. boys Philip Wall 0-3 yr. girls Finley Roehler 4-7 yr. boys Logan Lapointe 4-7 yr. girls Estrella Amaya 8-12 yr. boys Tyler Franklin 8-12 yr. girls Madison Miller 13-17 yr. boys Lyle Scratch 13-17 yr. girls Nicole Klassen We had the most fish ever caught today, and only a few gobies ! 53 fish measured - lots of bullheads, a few channel catfish, carp, sheepshead, panfish (rock bass, bluegill, pumpkinseed), a white perch, and even a 19 inch walleye! Approx. 175 kids, and about the same number of adults. Almost 350 hotdogs served. A perfect weather day. Thanks to the 20-25 club members who helped organize and work the derby. And thanks to C-K Fire/Rescue Services for being on site today.
